Dr. Gary Leonard began his Alpharetta Dental Practice in 1984, a year after graduating from Emory School of Dentistry. Over the years, he has seen and experienced many changes in the Alpharetta area as well as in the practice of dentistry.
“Dental technology, methods and materials have changed drastically over the years, but the way I treat patients has remained the same. With each new patient visit, I always ask myself not only what the best course of treatment is for this person, but also if I were them, how would I like to be treated sitting in that chair. As hard as I might try, I couldn’t deliver the care I do without my outstanding staff. They are caring, personable and extremely professional, many of them have been with me for years and give an added dimension to the personal service that I afford to my patients,” states Dr. Leonard. A goal of his Alpharetta dental practice is to constantly remove the anxiety that is often associated with dental care. He says, “Having an empathic staff that patients can really get to know and trust helps every patient feel much more relaxed.”
Many people think that cosmetic dentistry is something new. Dr. Leonard has been placing porcelain veneers, bleaching teeth and cosmetically bonding teeth for over twenty years. He received his first implant restorative certification in 1986 and has been actively restoring dental implants since that time.
Dr. Leonard is married and has two teenage daughters. He is also actively involved in the numerous dental societies, community affairs and continuing educational updates and seminars. Most importantly, he makes every effort to create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that makes his patients feel at home.
